COOKIE POLICY

Audio Sommelier uses browser storage and cookies only where needed to operate the app, remember your choices, support checkout, maintain attribution, secure sessions and measure usage where analytics consent is present.

We do not use browser storage to sell alcohol. The Platform provides digital tasting guidance only and is for adults of legal drinking age.

Necessary storage supports Supabase authentication, checkout intent, Premium route access, cookie choices, affiliate first-touch attribution, provider/QR attribution where used, and app preferences. These items are needed for account security, checkout continuity, fraud prevention, support and core functionality.

Necessary storage may include localStorage values such as legal/checkout intent, affiliate first-touch attribution (a browser marker that expires after 30 days) and cookie consent status, plus provider session or authentication storage managed by Supabase.

Analytics tools are loaded only after analytics consent is present. If you choose necessary storage only, analytics tracking is disabled and no analytics script is loaded by our app.

If you accepted analytics before 11 October 2026 — under wording that did not yet mention ad measurement — we ask for your choice again (once) before any ad-measurement tool such as the Meta Pixel is loaded for you; your earlier choice alone never enables it.

With analytics consent, these tools measure usage: Google Analytics (Google) and our self-hosted Umami instance (analytics.practicalapps.studio, operated by us on our own EU server). Umami is cookie-less: it records page views and events without marketing identifiers and without receiving any account identifier.

With analytics consent, the Meta Pixel (operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) is also loaded to measure the effectiveness of our Facebook/Instagram ads. It receives page views and standard conversion events (for example a completed purchase) together with the _fbp browser cookie (set by Meta, expires after 3 months) and, where you arrived from a Facebook or Instagram ad, the _fbc click cookie (expires after 3 months). No email, name or other account data is sent to Meta; as with any web request, Meta receives technical connection data such as your IP address and browser information. You can opt out of Meta's use of cookies for ads at facebook.com/policies/cookies.

Where you are signed in and analytics consent is present, Google Analytics 4 may receive a pseudonymous account identifier (user_id) to measure logged-in usage across sessions. This identifier is never sent without analytics consent.

Independent of analytics consent, when the app detects a technical failure it may send an error report to our self-hosted error tracker (GlitchTip, errors-c7f31a.practicalapps.studio, EU server operated by us) on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service available. Reports contain the page path without query strings or URL fragments, browser information and the error text — no cookies, no account identifiers, and best-effort redaction of token-like content.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer, which reopens the consent banner. Withdrawing analytics consent stops analytics tracking from that point on and expires the analytics cookies set so far, including the Meta _fbp/_fbc cookies.
